Quality Technician I-Auditor
We are a North American Leader in the Fabrication sectors with operations across Canada, and the
USA.

We are a fully integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services providing steel components and complex, high value-added assemblies for the agricultural, construction, mining, energy, heavy truck and industrial sectors.


The Quality Technician I will conduct continuous inspection and testing of products at various stages of production processes and will compile data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

The Quality Technician will report to the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Inspection of first offs to ensure they meet print / control plan requirements.
  • Inspect parts being shipped to subcontractors and/or customers to ensure they are to print / control plan requirements.
  • Tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics.
  • Records test data.
  • Completes inspection of floor production processes to ensure correct packaging, tagging and work order #'s are being utilized, as well as the final inspection of each container prior to shipment.
  • Issue internal rejection for nonconforming product and inform Quality Supervisor, Engineer or
Manager of non-conformance.

  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Creates and updates quality system documentation and provides training to shop personnel.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of departmental goals.
  • Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee
Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Rev Date:

  • High school diploma or GED; or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manual.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of CMS system

$20.80-$23.37 per hour
