HOW YOU'LL WORK


Responsible for the negotiation and execution of all aspects of supplier contracting (primarily hotels) across several TTC brands and 3rd party key accounts in your assigned territory.

Maintain supplier relationships and market intelligence within your assigned territory.

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Vice President Contracting of Destination America
  • Understand your assigned contracting region, understand the supplier landscape and the competitive landscape (this will require travelling to your region quite regularly and also participating in relevant trade shows)
  • Research and inspect all applicable hotels, keeping up to date with quality and service standards at contracted hotels, hotels used by competitors and possible new hotels or locations
  • Secure/negotiate the right inventory for hotel rooms, meals and related inclusions at best rates with the most appropriate suppliers for our various tour programs and client accounts
  • Renegotiate rates and terms as market conditions dictate
  • Foster positive and professional relationships with supplier partners
  • Create costings for assigned programs ensuring accuracy of costs used for pricing purposes
  • Take ownership of projects and processes to meet established timelines and calendar milestones/lockdown dates
  • Understand and manage to our clients specific contracting briefs
  • Maintain accurate tracking forms for your benefit, and for the VP Contracting and Costing/Pricing team to access and utilize
  • Work closely with Contracting Coordinators to ensure accurate tour series HUBS for each new touring season across all brands and clients
  • Determine hotel space availability and rates for all added departures and FAM tours in assigned territory
  • Pursue and track liability insurance and Health and Safety information from all suppliers

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • At least three years of travel industry working experience
  • Must be comfortable traveling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Selfdirected with the ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multitask.
