The Opportunity:

We are hiring for two that will be
supporting Canadian Natural's New Development Operations, specifically Lease Construction / Earthworks, Survey and Surface Land and ultimately in the support of Drilling and Completions operations
:

Key Accountabilities:

Collaboration with Business Areas to understand requirements and develop commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies. Focus efforts on the consolidation of requirements and contracts across the organization to optimize spend
Manage the endtoend contracting lifecycle from Request for Proposal (RFP) through to award and then post award contract management and closeout
Manage RFP process that supports both the business area and corporate objectives, in a professional, ethical manner
Negotiate and award agreements and contracts to contractors and /or suppliers to ensure services and materials are provided to Canadian Natural in the most cost effective and proficient manner possible
Form contracts and administer effective management of vendor, contractor and supplier relations
Manage Supplier Relationships effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement via relevant contract key metrics
Liaise with legal, risk, finance, accounting, internal client business area and other stakeholders to ensure that agreement terms address all related requirements and policies
Prepare and submit reports and other metrics as and when required, such as Spend evaluation; Cost comparisons, etc

This is a fulltime, permanent position

Skills & Qualifications:

Typically 10+ years of contract management experience with a university degree or related postsecondary education
Completion or current enrollment in the pursuit of a Supply Chain Management Professional designation is considered an asset
Practical experience with contract development, including exposure to negotiating contract terms and conditions
Experience with contract management systems and/or JD Edwards
