Plaza Nissan is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Team Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for Payroll/HR functions, along with GL account reconciliations and supporting the month end closes within the Accounting Team.

Your day to day:

All payroll functions, which include processing pay cycles through Payworks, managing benefits & deductions, vacation pay, government remittances reconciled, yearend processing for T4's, WSIB & EHT remittances.
Administer HR functions, using DealerPILOT HR software and maintaining up to date Employee files.
Reconcile Balance Sheet and Scheduled Accounts, such as Bank, Vehicle Flooring, Intercompany, Payroll.
Post monthly journal transactions, ie. manufacturer's programs, demos with depreciation, intercompany charges, prepaids, accruals.
Assist Controller with month end/quarter end reporting.
Cross train and offset other Accounting Roles as needed.

What you will bring with you:

Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and within a Team.
Accounting certificate preferred or experience in a similar role would be an asset.
Minimum 3 years of related Accounting experience
