MANA is seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team.
Job purpose
The Human Resource Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, general advice on internal policy, record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
Duties and responsibilities
- General HR administration
- HRIS maintenance, employee file management, general reporting, policy management.
- Assist with providing HR advice to employees and supervisors.
- Develop and maintain a positive and proactive relationship with department management, frontline employees, and contractors.
- Job description preparation for new positions and updating of current positions.
- Full cycle recruitment for entry and intermediate positions job posting, resume screening, phone and in person interviews.
- Coordinate with recruiters as needed.
- Other recruiting assignments/projects such as job fair attendance, company promoting.
- New Hire Onboarding and maintenance/updating of program.
- Administer Apprentice & Coop Program.
- Develop and maintain company website and social media presence.
- Prepare employee events with HR Department.
- Other HR related tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or working towards would be an asset.
- 13 years related experience in human resources. Manufacturing industry specific would be an asset.
- Proven ability to complete full cycle recruitment.
- Indepth knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and other HR related legislation.
- Ability to prioritize activities and multitask in a busy work environment
- High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
