Responsibilities:
- Perform all analytical testing for the samples, recording and updating of results in LIMS
- Maintain accurate records of all performed procedures in assisting in implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and GMP/cGMP in the laboratory
- Maintain the good laboratory housekeeping and ensure Health, Safety and Environment standard are adhered
- Assist with laboratory organization, supply inventory, calibrations, and cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Some clerical work may be involved including data entry and logging in of samples for the Microbiology department
- Other duties may be assigned to meet laboratory needs
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 years experience in a related analytical field
- Must be able to multitask and adhere to requirements of the Quality Management System
- Experience with NHP samples, surface samples, food testing, bacteriology, and mycology is desirable
- Knowledge of technical requirements as per compendia (USP/NF, BP/EP, AOAC), inhouse methods and general QC laboratory procedures
- Analytical Investigations and simple troubleshooting of out of specification and suspect results
- Attention to detail, ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Must be able to work well under pressure and meet short deadlines
