SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Allocate delivery/pickup jobs among BCA BSC/LDC/third party logistics service providers
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, logistics shop, CSA/customer, and drivers to ensure order items (mainframe, accessories, toners) are ready in the right place at right time for drivers to pick up and deliver at the customer sites as promised
  • Perform pre-calls with the customers to ensure smooth delivery and pick up
  • Balance truck load utilization and delivery service requirement via appropriate dispatching and routing
  • Communicate ETA and POD to internal and external customers. Act as POD owner for entire BCA logistics
  • Analyze delivery cost and drive delivery cost reduction year over year initiatives
  • In a timely manner, provide delivery quotations to sales/CSA in support of RFQ processes
  • Review, audit, and approve invoices related to logistics activities
  • Own BCA logistics damage claim processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Order scheduling and dispatching

  • Check warehouse scheduler daily for open deliveries. Ensure the delivered orders are updated on time for revenue recognition
  • Update web scheduler and comment regarding unsuccessful deliveries
  • Enter nonSAP orders as required
  • Allocate deliveries among qualified carriers
  • Prepare BOL and SAP paperwork to KM drivers with optimized delivery sequence and routing. Provide ETA to manager
Documentation and reporting

  • File applicable claim if related to damages
  • File all paperwork for audit purpose associated with POD. Ensure other BSC/LDC follow the POD filing protocol
  • Provide daily exception report with explanations for missed orders to manager
  • Analyze and report monthly cost for each of the service providers and provide loading proposals to applicable management and warehouses.
Livingston broker interface

  • Act as focal point for KMBS Canada import and export shipment. Provide required import and export documentation to facilitate timely shipment and delivery
  • Ensure month end revenue shipment into Canada without border delays
Carrier Spending Analysis and Quotation

  • Perform cost and spending analysis associated with third party logistics service providers, including but not limited to SCI, Mackie, Purolator, Day and Ross, HMM, Omnitrans, Vitran, etc.
  • Propose cost saving measures and drive the implementation of related solutions
  • Participate in vendor QBR
  • Communicate tariff update to Sales and Administration departments
  • Provide logistics cost to Sales and Administration teams to support sales and big hits.
Vendor damage claim process

  • Act as the coordinator for national logistics damage claims

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum college diploma required
  • Three years of logistics, supply chain or inventory management experience required
  • Expert level SAP experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Trouble shooting skills preferred
  • Detail oriented skills required
  • Ability to communicate and present information at different levels internally and externally
  • Vendor management experience preferred
  • Accounting background preferred.
