Job Summary:

Your Role

  • Interpret requests stated in business terms associated with Corporate financial functions, streamline their business processes and work closely with Users/Managers and/or System Analysts to provide integrated solutions.
  • Document, reengineer and implement streamlined business processes and optimize corporate workflow.
  • Work closely with City of Guelph Finance professionals to enable or enhance progressive solutions in JDE Enterprise One Financials module.
  • Work within existing software change management procedures to implement software updates.
  • Analyze and implement system updates associated with change management and revision maintenance, security, financial systems interfaces and infrastructure.
  • Act as a project manager/coordinator for new corporatewide technology initiatives or work as technical lead as part of project teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide first and/or second level technical support.
  • Manage change requests to existing functionality while maintaining system integrity.
  • Use functional specifications of business requirements to design, develop, test, implement and sustain quality solutions.
  • Build and maintain technical and user documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Build and manage custom reports and dashboards for end users and management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Finance business processes is required; formal accounting designation(s) would be an asset.
  • Experience in systems development: business analysis, programming, report and interface development, support, project planning, business process reengineering and SDLC.
  • Proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL, Trigger and related Oracle RDMS tools.
  • Experience in report writing would be an asset.
  • Advanced competency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, stakeholders and the general public.
  • Able to handle multiple and changing priorities and coordinate available resources accordingly.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Rate
$48.85-$61.06 per hour
