Job Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Vendor Performance and Special Projects, this role supports the vendor performance management program development and implementation, reporting and analysis related to inventory management, procurement and performance, and oversight of data accuracy within the Region's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

This position will also support key divisional projects including but not limited to, researching best practices and developing and implementing improved processes and procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the integrity, quality and logic of the information contained in the Region's ERP system (SAP).
  • Prepare various reports related to procurement activity, inventory usage, account reconciliation and performance metrics and analyze results to make recommendations on improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for the Supply Chain Management division, in collaboration with colleagues and key customers.
  • Investigate and resolve complex problems associated with invoices and purchase orders in conjunction with the Supply Chain Operations team and other departments as required.
  • Support divisional initiatives including projects, research and procedure drafting.
  • Oversee Regional contracts to ensure timely completion, collection and reporting of vendor contractual performance evaluations.
  • Monitor contractual vendor performance to ensure contract performance is in accordance with the contract terms.
  • Deliver internal training on the ERP system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:


Essential

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, procurement, contract management and inventory management.
  • Possess excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player and independently to meet deliverables on timely basis is needed for success.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and ability to interpret financial and nonfinancial information.
  • Strong experience in procurement, contract management, process design, financial analysis and reporting.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred

  • A certification from a Procurement or Supply Chain Program (OPBA, NIGP, SCMA, ASCM).
  • Knowledge of the SAP Financial and Materials Management modules.
  • A sound background in supply chain policies and practices in a government environment.
