About Us:


Role:


Alberta King's Printer is responsible for the publishing, marketing and distribution of the Government of Alberta's laws, the Alberta Gazette, and various legislation-related and official materials in various formats.


This working leadership role is responsible for managing the inventory as well as processing and shipping approximately six million products annually to our stakeholders within Alberta, Canada and internationally.


You will ensure that all relevant Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction legislation, business plans, policies, and standards are recognized and complied with.

This role may provide input to the development of new and revised policies and processes in regards to inventory control and shipping of materials.


  • Your responsibilities include:
  • Accurately picking, packing and shipping all orders and shipping all orders with 24-48 hours of receipt
  • Maintains and updates 'Shipping Manager' database and MOVES daily for details about every shipment (way bill numbers, number or parcels, date shipped, serialized ranges and special instructions etc.)
  • Receiving stock, verifying quantities and providing packing slip and copies of the materials to the Team Lead within 24 hours.
  • Overseeing the performance of a weekly inventory count using cyclical inventory schedule and creates inventory adjustments as required
  • To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:

Qualifications:

High school diploma and three (3) years of shipping and inventory control experience in a warehouse setting is required. Related experience also includes inventory management systems, controls and reconciliation procedures experience.

  • Other requirements include:
  • Ability to consistently lift boxes weighing 35 lbs.
  • Supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Experience with materials handling equipment's safely (e.g. fork lifts, pallets, shrinkwrapper, strapping machines, etc.)
  • Valid class 5 driver's license

Assets:


  • Joint work site health and safety committee experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, GP Dynamics, Access, Outlook, etc.) and/or MOVES

Equivalency:


  • Related diploma and minimum of (1) one year related experience;
  • Related certificate and minimum of (2) two years related experience; or
  • Related university degree and some related experience

Salary:

$ 2, $ 2,470.95 bi-weekly ($52,581- $64,491/ year)
