About the role:
We are looking for experienced and passionate Portfolio Consultant to maximize portfolio performance and competitiveness for the assigned territory.
In this position, you will develop and lead the Business Plan implementation in your assigned geography, and optimize the implementation of the right mix of activities (including omni-channel approach) across your portfolio of products.
With a key account mindset, you support the field-based execution of the portfolio strategies.You drive territory sales performance of assigned geography; develop and execute territory business plans; deliver digital offerings; build and maintain preferred partner relationships with key customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieving assigned sales objectives and other metrics identified (example: growth, market share, customer engagement metrics)
- Developing, implementing and driving robust (data driven) crossfunctional key account/business plans,
- strategically aligning with portfolio mindset for targeted and prioritized accounts and customers in order to deliver a differentiated value proposition and implement impactful solutions.
- Gathering customer insights and leverage all available data sources to create, dynamically prioritize and adapt relevant territory and customer engagement plans.
- Managing effectively and responsibly operational budgets and relevant field spend and dynamic reallocation.
- Promoting Novartis' current portfolio assets in Retina, Respirology, Immunology, Migraine & Melanoma (as well as other future portfolio assets) by providing the latest, relevant and authorized data, key messages & disease information to support HCP decision making & optimize patient outcomes in an ethical way.
- Leveraging different engagement channels to optimize customer experience providing the right message to the right customer at the right time.
- Maintaining a deep and current knowledge of industry, therapeutic areas, competitors, and buyer dynamics and focus effort on priority customer opportunities.
- Developing, maintaining and fostering strong business relationships with key customers within assigned geography.

Minimum requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales (5 + years in specialty sales) with a strong record of achievement. Preferred experience in 1 of the promoted therapeutic areas (Retina, Respirology, Immunology, Migraine & Oncology).
- Resultsoriented. Experience managing portfolio of brands is a plus.
- Ability to make new relationships and show impact quickly. Learn new areas fast.
- Adaptability, Communication and Attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial: prospect for opportunities. Autonomous selfstarter ability to size up a business and make tradeoff decisions
- Canadian market experience required
Desirable requirements:
- University degree, health sciences or business administration, preferable.
