JOB SUMMARY

Full-time (12 month Contract )


Afternoon Shift:
Monday to Friday, 4:00 - 12:00 PM

Guelph Distribution Center


Medline Canada is immediately hiring an Inventory Associates to start ASAP. This position is responsible for maintaining the product inventory systems to ensure products meet the requirements for distribution, in compliance with Health Canada regulations and Medline procedures. This position is also responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and product availability within the warehouse.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts daily routine and reactive cycle counts and investigate any discrepancies
  • Reconciles discrepancies from cycle counts in WMS-SAP and updates customer claims, when applicable
  • Performs and reports results of root cause analysis to management
  • Assists Operations Inventory Manager with put away of products using a material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Manages inventory by blocking and releasing inventory due to stock checks, damage to products, quality purposes and product recall
  • Processes, inspects, and disposes of returned goods and verifies receipt against approved authorization. Ensures only acceptable products are released for distribution, including inspection of DME returns to ensure safety requirements are met
  • Implements the inventory hold/ release process in a timely manner
  • Completes all activities and documentation, accurately, and in a timely basis in compliance with GMP and company procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Up to 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • High school education required
  • Postsecondary degree in supply chain management or related degree considered an asset
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong listening and problem resolution skills; strong organizational skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and customer service
  • Previous SAP experience considered an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, ex: excel, and word
  • Strong proficiency in MHE
  • Safety conscious with the ability to operate material handling equipment (not limited to motorized forklifts) and lift up to 50 lbs in weight
