Description

Restaurant Stellina is a great place to work. We have a fun work environment, and we are growing We are looking for hosts to join our team. We are looking for hosts to work in the kitchen, and hostesses to be servers.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
Ensure service standards, including menu preparation, communication, service and cleanliness
Actively seek out opportunities to improve service
Encourage guests to sample food and beverages
Inform hostesses about specials, new menu items, events or other opportunities to build client loyalty
Prepare and serve special orders per Chef's specifications
Take correct measures to ensure production costs are not exceeded
Interpret customer requests or requests from customers
Assess customers' financial status and why they would need a certain credit card and cash card and if they have reached their limit. Explain the limits and how to contact the customer for additional payment if necessary
Keep records of transactions into the cash drawer and into the credit card machine in order to comply with regulations
Communicate with guests when they have reached their limit of food and beverage
Restock products as needed

Skills

Proven experience as a host or related position working with customers, including restaurant experience preferred but not required.
Ability to use credit card payment method preferred but not required. Cash also acceptable but not required.
Strong communication skills along with customer service skills.
