Chester Basin Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a full-time or part-time
Veterinarian to join our team.

This hospital is located just over 30 minutes from the city of Bedford and Halifax on the picturesque South Shore.

Our primary focus is on prevention and education, offering individually tailored care to our patients and their families.

We are a supportive group, so are open to part time or can offer a three, four or five day full time schedule if desired.

We also own four other hospitals within HRM, so we have a large network of DVMs and team members who work together to collaborate, share experiences, generate ideas and support one another whenever needed.

At our hospital, we strive to provide customer service we are proud of and treat our clients like family.

Our business is an active member of the communities we serve and we work as partners with our clients to provide the best quality care for their pets.


Who We Need:


We are open to hearing from anyone who believes their personality and skills would be a great addition to our group.

  • A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
  • Experience in; soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice.
  • Dedicated to promoting teambased medicine practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and community
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
  • An interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues
  • A love for all companion animals
