Description

Reporting to the District Manager with a dotted line to the Regional Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist will provide support in the areas of Recruitment, Orientation and Onboarding, Employee/Labor Relations, Service Excellence, and Employee Engagement.


Responsibilities:


  • Respond to general queries regarding company policies, practices, programs, and processes relating to the employee experience.
  • Support the full cycle recruitment process by: including preparing job descriptions, job postings, developing interview questions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and ensuring hiring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Support frontline employee onboarding by: ensuring hiring documents are completed correctly, assisting with the planning and preparation of orientation, assisting with the planning and preparation of onthejob training routines, and acting as the first point of contact for general queries from new employees.
  • Support managers in employee personnel file maintenance, creating tools that can be used to ensure compliance.
  • Work with Regional Human Resources Manager to support managers in frontline employee performance management to improve employee retention
  • Represent Aramark in the community to the benefit of the company through involvement in community organizations, client events etc.
  • Assist with the administration of leaves of absence, including WCB leaves, and return to work programs.
  • Work with management team to plan and execute engagement activities for frontline employees. Utilize Aramark employee engagement resources to create and establish best practices within the account.
  • Lead account Employee Engagement Committee.
  • Lead employee preshift meetings to promote employee engagement and service excellence initiatives.
  • Additional ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations or related field.
  • 3+ years of handson experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Labor relations experience considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to act with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Detailoriented with excellent analytical and administrative skills.
