The work location is at

Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, the laborer plays a crucial role in assisting the teams and contributing to the smooth running and safety of mining operations.

Among their responsibilities, they will be required to perform various tasks, such as:

Assisting drillers and blasters in carrying out their duties;
Managing the water pumping stations at the mine;
Helping to set up barricades and enclosures;
Conducting equipment inspections before and after their shift;
Performing tasks in accordance with current safety standards (road safety and healthsafety);
Carrying out any other tasks requested by their supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

Hold a Level 5 high school diploma;
Possess 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar position;
Appreciate outdoor work;
Hold a valid driver's license, with a Class 1 license being an additional advantage;
Have the ability to lift loads up to 20 kg;
Hold an explosive permit.

Assets

Bilingual (French and English);
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
