Night Auditor
Reporting to:
General Manager (GM) and Front Office Supervisor (FOS)
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience.
As a Night Auditor, you'll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience.
You'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa West is looking to fill a
part-time position
(Friday and Saturday overnights) as a night auditor.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure revenue verification from all sources is accurately balanced, follow up on any discrepancies.
- Perform end of day procedures.
- Produce daily reports for departments and department heads.
- Compile and run statistical report for all departments and transfer information to the Accounting department.
- Help manage all functions of the Front Office team and overall operations of the hotel during the night.
- Perform Front Desk duties such as checking guests in and out of the hotel. Resolve any guest requests and problems and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines.
- Ensure safety for staff and guests overnight.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the products, including hotel rooms, type of rooms, amenities, services of hotel, etc.
- Responsible for facilitating the proper emergency evacuation procedure with all departments of the property.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the General Manager.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in English and French are an asset.
- Post-Secondary Education or Hospitality Certificate preferred.
- Must have a passion for delivering outstanding and personable service.
- Selfmotivated, decisive, responsible and driven to achieve goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think independently, possess good judgment, proven problemsolving skills and effective decisionmaking skills.
- Must be a creative and effective person, possessing a high degree of professionalism in demeanor and appearance.
- Able to work effectively in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift.
- Computer literacy required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Experience using Opera reservation system is an asset.
- Able to handle difficult situations and accommodate special requests.
- Able to remain positive under pressure.
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
$20.00 per hour
