Capital Power Corporation is currently seeking an innovative individual to join our dynamic ERP Business Solutions team

You will contribute to our team by In smaller projects, taking a leadership role and guiding the initiative within the ERP Applications team.- Providing expert functional advice to business stakeholders, technical teams, Director, and peers in support of business and strategic goals relevant to the duties of the position. Providing functional assessment on products and solutions based on the financial and functional impact.
Providing guidance on systems solutions that cross multiple business areas. Interacting with people leaders within IS or business groups within Finance to increase collaboration and enhance the offerings provided by the ERP Business Solutions team.- Collaborating with external contacts and industry peers to gain an understanding of industry standards and best practices to increase efficiency within E-Business team.

What you will bring to the role


Education:


  • Completed Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA accounting designation is required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in corporate financial design and/or support definition and maintenance of chart of accounts, legal entities, organizations etc. 5+ years of progressive responsibility in ERPscale financial software such as Oracle EBS, SAP, JD Edwards. Deep functional understanding of general business processes monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, as well as complex corporate and regulatory structures.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical acumen for constructing and maintaining complex data structures formulae, hierarchies, relationships.
  • Working to Intermediate knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), MS Office Plugins and extensions particularly for Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of various Systems Delivery Life Cycles (SDLC) applicable to both custombuild and commercial off the shelf (COTS) implementation frameworks.
  • A good understanding of new and emerging development methodologies (e.g., iterative development, etc.).
  • Functional understanding of system integrations, primarily with large, complex systems.
  • Experience with data analysis, database tools, and reporting methodologies.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid Office/Work from home position, with possible very mínimal travel to meet business users at Capital Power facilities or other offices.
  • Out of business hours and overtime may be required.

CSU52 (IT2)

Hours of Work: 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week


Wage:
$54.44-$64.93
