Job Description:

PURPOSE & SCOPE:

The Fluid Technician is responsible for ensuring fluids used in various operations are maintained in order to support production requirements.

Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International's Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for fluid sample gathering
Complete fluid concentration monitoring and logging throughout work shift
Complete fluid topup, concentration adjustment and corrective action based on analysis
Perform a fluid quality analysis on required machinery
Report results of findings to your Supervisor and the Quality department
Communicate with supplier on a regular bases to resolve issues, shortages, etc.
Responsible for inventory management and tracking fluid usage
Complete monthly safety inspections
Responsible for fluid quality system and manage of system dumps
Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.
Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Education and/or Experience:_
High School diploma or equivalent
CNC equipment and fluid sampling experience is required
Qualifications:_
Experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically automotive, is an asset
Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment
Good communication skills. Clearly legible handwriting and able to write reports
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality
Language Skills:_
Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
Work Environment (including Physical Demands):_
Work indoors. Environment can be noisy and exposed to different temperatures
Working with fluids on a daily basis
Lifting required. No more than 50lbs and assistance is available.
Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Able to work overtime when required/requested
