Job Description:


PURPOSE & SCOPE:


The Fluid Technician is responsible for ensuring fluids used in various operations are maintained in order to support production requirements.

Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International's Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for fluid sample gathering
  • Complete fluid concentration monitoring and logging throughout work shift
  • Complete fluid topup, concentration adjustment and corrective action based on analysis
  • Perform a fluid quality analysis on required machinery
  • Report results of findings to your Supervisor and the Quality department
  • Communicate with supplier on a regular bases to resolve issues, shortages, etc.
  • Responsible for inventory management and tracking fluid usage
  • Complete monthly safety inspections
  • Responsible for fluid quality system and manage of system dumps
  • Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Education and/or Experience:_
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CNC equipment and fluid sampling experience is required
  • Qualifications:_
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically automotive, is an asset
  • Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment
  • Good communication skills. Clearly legible handwriting and able to write reports
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality
  • Language Skills:_
  • Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
  • Work Environment (including Physical Demands):_
  • Work indoors. Environment can be noisy and exposed to different temperatures
  • Working with fluids on a daily basis
  • Lifting required. No more than 50lbs and assistance is available.
  • Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to work overtime when required/requested
