  • We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Manager to oversee The Lookout Restaurant located at Gray Monk Winery. Reporting into the Estate Manager, the Restaurant manager is responsible for developing, directing, and executing best in class revenue driving strategies related to all Food and Beverage service operations on property while ensuring extremely highquality dining experiences that promote the brand Image and meet/exceed financial objectives_

_ We are looking for a teammate with:_

  • 2+ years of management experience in an upscale restaurant environment
  • Postsecondary education in Hospitality or a related field
  • Graduate of or current enrolment in an internationally recognized Sommelier program or WSET program considered an asset
  • Proven ability to use technology related to restaurant operations (LS Hospitality, Microsoft suite)
  • Passion for food, beverages, and hospitality
  • Proven track record of leadership and coaching a team for high performance

_ This teammate will be accountable for:_

  • Develops and executes business strategies to meet/exceed financial objectives
  • Responsibilities include:
  • Analysis of Food & Beverage related monthly statements
  • Monitoring Industry/consumer trends to develop new revenue opportunities
- motivating front of house team members to achieve assigned targets & incentive opportunities
- recruiting, on boarding, and coaching to direct reports to ensure performance/talent/service excellence among all team members; recognizing when to engage Human Resources to assist with performance management concerns
- executing Restaurant _Standards of Service _and Restaurant Operational policies and procedures
- managing maintenance or replacement of Front of House Restaurant equipment and fixtures when/where required
- responding efficiently and effectively to guest concerns/complaints

  • Maximizes revenues per guest transaction (including upselling) via a solid understanding of Dining-Menu options/property wines / accessories / experiences / Wine Club membership benefits / events
  • Ensures a Safe and Healthy Work Environment; participates actively as Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee
