This
Building Manager position requires excellent customer service & building managing skills. This is a live-out position and does not offer accommodation.

You will be responsible to manage a strata residential building and ensuring a high-quality services standard by effectively running the smooth on-site operations of the strata property.


Location:
Burnaby




Schedule:
Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:00pm)

This "Jack of all trades" role looks after all areas of general maintenance of the buildings, including but not limited to:

  • Painting, wall patching and minor repairs
  • Contacting and overseeing tradespeople for work performed onsite
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining logs and schedule of work,

Your Job Scope:


  • Provide professional, friendly and courteous service to the residents
  • Work with the utmost professionalism with Strata Property Manager and company management team
  • Proactively identify building maintenance needs and address these
  • Communicate with the property manager and operations managers to support smooth operations
  • Handle payments and deposits for things such as amenity bookings, moves, and strata fees if/when applicable
  • Operate security cameras and review and save camera footage when needed
  • Service and repair duties of residential common areas
  • Contact and oversee trades such as plumbers, electricians, locksmiths for approved site work
  • Responsible for replacing and maintaining adequate stock of supplies
  • Maintain, scrub and power wash garbage and recycling room
  • Respond to onsite emergencies
  • Operate fob systems
  • Actively engage in maintaining a safe work environment
  • Perform other related duties as requested by management and/or property management

You Have:


  • A High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude and good guest service skills
  • Pool certificate or must be willing to take courses
  • Must drive and have a car, valid BC driver's license
  • Able to respond to emergencies on weekends and outside standard work hours
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment and remain calm and courteous at all times.
  • Thrive in a team environment and be willing to learn.

Experience:


  • Strata: 2 years (preferred)
Facilities Maintenance: 2 years (preferred)
Professional English Communication: 2 years (preferred)
