Pricing Manager, Animal Nutrition to join our team in Okotoks, AB.

  • Drive Profitability, Lead Change, Inspire Success_ You are a strategic thinker with a talent for driving profitability and customercentric solutions, you excel in leading teams and optimizing pricing strategies. As the Pricing Manager, you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing pricing strategies to achieve financial goals while delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Reporting to the General Manager, West Region, you will take charge of enhancing overall profitability through effective pricing strategies.


Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Strategic Pricing

  • Collaborate with Pricing, Sales, Finance, and Innovation teams to develop and execute pricing strategies that optimize profitability.
  • Safeguard pricing and sales profit matrices for different productcustomer groups (Swine, Poultry & Dairy) through data analysis and market intelligence.
  • Monitor and advise the Commercial Team on market developments and raw material prices.

2. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, nutrition, procurement, finance, and production, to align pricing strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team for pricing towards key accounts and tenders.

3. Performance Analysis

  • Continuously analyze pricing data to evaluate the impact of pricing decisions on market share and profitability.
  • Review pricing performance and target margins, providing valuable insights to the General Manager and Sales.

4. Process Improvement

  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve processes, procedures, and controls for pricing and quoting.
  • Participate in related projects to drive financial and commercial objectives.

5. People Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop staff to equip them for current and future business challenges.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.

6. Change Management

  • Foster a culture and processes focused on achieving business goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the implementation and change of new ways of working, systems, and processes.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

  • University degree, preferably in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or other Business disciplines.
We count on your expertise and understanding of market conditions and competitive influences on pricing strategy.

  • Expertise in process management with a focus on streamlining processes for efficiency and sales profit.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with and lead diverse teams.
  • Strong problemsolving, strategic planning, and change management skills.
