What you'll be doing

  • As an Audit Manager, Infrastructure, you'll participate as part of a team to conduct risk based audits of different groups within CIBC's Operations. You'll review and test the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls to assess if they are adequate to mitigate the risks within the businesses. You'll work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including other members of the audit team and audit clients, for timely completion of audit engagements.
  • At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 23 days per week onsite, while other days will be remote_


  • How you'll succeed

  • Execution of audit assignments
  • Identify and fully understand the key business processes, their inherent risk, and the control environment. Plan and/or participate in risk based audit activities, assess and test relevant processes and controls, and provide an independent opinion on their design and operating effectiveness.


  • Audit reporting

  • Identify business control weaknesses, and objectively assess the severity and materiality of the issues and their potential impact on the business. Work with business management to develop action plans based on realistic and workable solutions, to mitigate the risk and exposure in the long term.


  • Continuous improvement

  • Provide effective and timely communication on risk issues with influence and judgment to create positive outcomes. Look for ways to enhance audit guidelines and practice development and to improve efficiency and audit experience.
  • Who you are
  • You can demonstrate experience in and understanding of Operational processes; risks, processes and related controls within those areas; and/minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in audit, accounting and/or other relevant business experience. It's an asset if you have professional designation/certification such as CPA, CFA, CIA or an MBA degree.
