The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is a regulatory agency that reports to the Ministry of the Attorney General.
The AGCO is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming, horseracing, and private cannabis retail sectors in Ontario, in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.
The Audit and Financial Investigations Branch (AFI), Compliance Services, works collaboratively with other branches and stakeholders to enable effective regulatory risk management and improve regulatory outcomes.
AFI carries out risk-based audits and reviews across all regulated sectors, provides advice and insights to internal partners, and delivers objective and reliable results that support effective regulatory responses.
We are building an agile audit function, one that has the skills and capabilities that will be important as a modern regulator, focused on service excellence and people first.
As an Operational Auditor, you will be reporting to the Manager, Operational Audit, and will carry out audits and reviews of different regulated lines of business, collaborate with colleagues both within the branch and other branches on cross-functional initiatives, and foster effective working relationships with our stakeholders.

- A combination of postsecondary education and work experience in a related field;
- Professional accounting or auditing designation (CPA, CIA) is an asset;
- Indepth knowledge of auditing internal controls and business processes gained through experience auditing governance and oversight functions and processes;
- Advanced skills in Excel and/or other data analysis tools;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and foster stakeholder relationships;
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fastpaced environment;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- A valid Ontario driver's licence (travel throughout the province is necessary); and
- The flexibility to work variable hours, as well as weekends and statutory holidays.
