Description
We are seeking an experienced hairdresser/barber to provide hair care and barber services to the people who live in our Long-Term Care home, working a flexible schedule of approximately 15 to 30 hours per week.
You will be a great fit for this role if you are a warm and caring person, who has a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience providing high-quality hair/personal grooming services to elderly and vulnerable populations.
In this role, your responsibilities will be to:
- Coordinate residents' appointments in conjunction with the nursing staff
- Porter the residents to and from the inhouse salon
- Maintain hair station cleanliness/ hygienic procedures and ensure all safety standards are met
- Supply your own hairdressing/barber supplies
- Maintain records of all applicable services rendered
- Provide consistent top quality in all services provided to residents

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- hair styling: 1 year (preferred)
- working with geriatric and/or vulnerable populations: 1 year (preferred)
