Aecon Technical Solutions Inc. employs highly trained technicians to install, diagnose, maintain copper and fiber networks (Internet, Phone, IPTV) and associated network facilities as well as be customer facing, responsible and results orientated. Customer service/satisfaction and professionalism being a top priority. The position requires various shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays depending on the current requirement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Conscious and able to adhere to a highly focused safety culture
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and highquality installations for Alarm, IPTV, Internet and Phone Service in customer's homes and businesses.
  • Install and repair support for Phone, Internet, Alarm and TV transported over fiber networks
  • Troubleshooting and repair support for Alarm system, TV, Internet and Phone Service transported over fiber, and copper networks
  • Responsible for a geographical area to complete assigned work on a daily basis
  • Be highly adaptable to constantly changing technologies, methods, and procedures

  • Selfmotivated and highly organized to manage workloads with mínimal direction
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language (Bilingual in certain areas)
  • Highly Adaptable to constantly changing technologies, methods, and procedures
  • Comfortable working at heights

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience in telecommunications including fibre/copper installation & repair considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work well with colleagues and clients.
  • Selfmotivated, with time management skills.
  • Maintaining stock of all parts/organizational skills
  • Adaptable with the ability to confidently make decisions under little supervision.
  • Ability to use various hand tools and small power tools.
Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as on-call.

  • Available to work 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime hours, if needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clear driver's abstract.
  • Working at heights certification (training provided)
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Ability to lift 75lbs and carry, climb, and work from a ladder upwards of 30ft.
  • Good understand of working with technology including smartphones/laptops/software
  • Ability to work in weather from all seasons including snow/rain/heat/wind

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
