Lead Facilitator/coach, Employability Skills for - Brampton, Canada - Achev
Description
Working as part of the Employability Skills for Youth Program, thisproject assists youth with multiple barriers to their employment to
develop their employability skills and put them into practice during an
11-week job placement. As a Lead Facilitator/Coach, you will work with
youth participants who aged 15-29 to identify and develop their
employability and employment skills so that they can successfully
transition into the work place or return for further education and
training. The Lead Facilitator/Coach will provide program outreach and
marketing and will recruit and screen applicants for the program. The
Lead Facilitator/Coach will facilitate workshops, co-ordinate guest
speakers & special events, and further develop and implement the
program curriculum based on participant needs. They will liaise with
community agencies for referral and guest speaker opportunities. They
will provide individual coaching/counselling regarding action planning,
community resources and job search for participants and assist with employment placements, as well as conduct employer outreach.

Responsibilities:
- Provide program outreach/marketing and will recruit and screen
- Facilitate workshops, coordinate guest speakers, and further develop and implement the program curriculum based on participant needs
- Provide individual coaching/counselling regarding action planning,
- Provide assistance/backup as needed to the ES4Y Job Developer,
in problem solving as needed
- Collect and analyze stats and program evaluation data, and
- Conduct follow up activities to ensure the success of participants,
- Other project duties as assigned
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, social services or
- A minimum of 3 years of experience providing community
- Experience working with youth with multiple barriers to their
- Some program coordination/leadership experience is preferred
- Knowledge of community demographics, the business
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to organize and lead group workshops and coordinate
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, community
- Strong outreach, marketing, and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of equity and diversity issues and their
- Computer literacy, with skills in Internet, MS Outlook and MS
- Fluency in both French and English will be considered an
