Scope of the Position


The IT Support Specialist is a member of the Information Technology team, an important shared service supporting over 15 branches and 300+ employees across Canada.

Each line of business and each branch depends on IT to ensure our customers are receiving top-quality service.

Our contribution and priorities are to serve our colleagues by supporting a reliable backend including technology systems, committing to offer efficient and immediate technical support, and ensuring we keep vigilant on security requirements.

Usual work is carried out during regular business hours (two shifts available:
EST 7 am-4 pm, 8 am - 5 pm) but may require evenings and weekends to complete projects or maintenance on systems.


Major Responsibilities

  • Assist with server maintenance and deployment
  • Monitor, manage and maintain security systems
  • Documentation and monitoring of IT Systems, issues, and procedures
  • Troubleshooting network performance issues
  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Assists in the maintenance of the telephone system (AVAYA)
  • Administrates user accounts using companyprovided software tools
  • Participate in the management meeting for future system growth

Skill and Qualifications

  • 1+ year of IT Support experience
  • Strong work experience with Active Directory
  • Networking expert (Cisco, Meraki)
  • Strong Data Management & Server infrastructure skills
  • Strong technical proficiency & handson technical skills
  • Strong sense of urgency in dealing with business and staff needs
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Working knowledge of Avaya Phone System
  • Strong attention to detail & problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a strong asset
  • Avaya experience is a strong asset

Job Types:

Salary:
$45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Experience:

Active Directory: 1 year (preferred)
