**Job Summary: The Plant Operator will report to the Plant Manager and is responsible for various operating tasks associated with the operation of Li-Cycle's lithium battery recycling plant. Applicant should be capable of completing a variety of manual tasks and have experience working within manufacturing or processing environments.

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and top performer to be a part of a smart and energetic team, as Li-Cycle commercializes its technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Handling of lithiumion batteries and associated products
Perform a variety of manual tasks including, loading batteries into plant
Minor maintenance activities, as required
Cleaning of plant, ensuring the plant is kept is clean, safe working order
Inspect and verify condition and weight of incoming/ outgoing materials
Adhere to all workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance legislation
Other duties as assigned

**Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
2+ years of experience working in similar manufacturing/ processing environment
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Computer literate
Professional appearance and manners
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
