Production Associate


The Production Associate under the direction of the Production Supervisor, will be required to perform tasks in various departments and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools.

The Production Associate will be responsible for the efficient assembly of products, painting of goods as well as other tasks according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies.


Job Duties

  • Read and/or follow instructions and technical diagrams to assemble merchandise.
  • Assemble goods following Rulmeca Limited's assembly instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Safe operation of various hand and power tools required for assembly and repair of merchandise.
  • Provide routine maintenance on assembled merchandise ensuring safety is maintained and merchandise remains in good, sellable condition.
  • Mark, record, and report defects.
  • Clean and perform preparation of work area.
  • Maintain safe work area, adhering to all health and safety policy and procedure.
  • Clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, required for assembly and transport to work area in a safe manner.

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • One year of experience as a production labourer an asset.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Critical eye for identifying defects.
  • Commitment to quality and safety
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes.
  • Strong working mechanical knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labour.

Work Conditions

  • Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs is required.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. safety glasses, safety boots, etc.).
  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity.

Pay

  • Pay raise to $16.50/hr after 90 worked days completed, afternoon shift premium, monthly incentives
