Human Resources Operations Specialist month contract

Working Model:

Where the Chemistry Happens:

We are looking for an HR Operations Specialist like you to join our team of People team.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Total Rewards Manager and be responsible for supporting the Total Rewards project management and People Services Team country-wide implementation of Global, Regional and Canada specific HR initiatives.

You Will:


Project Management:


  • Serve as the focal point of all People Team projects.
  • Perform project needs from a Canadian Legal Entity level.
  • Project communications to key stakeholders and project team members.
  • Progress tracking and implementation.
  • Continuous partnership with Benefits Vendor team on benefits, pension, and savings plan designs.
  • Lead Automotive Refinish Technologies pension, benefits, and payroll harmonization for Canada.
  • Define project scope (resource requirements, stakeholder requirements, employees impacted, etc.) and design project charter.

HR Analytics:


  • Responsible for generating all country specific reporting regarding all HR metrics including reporting for Canadian Leadership Team.
  • Perform HR related analytics, metrics and reporting from a corporate and business specific perspective (metrics for workforce planning, diversity, turnover rates, recruitment statistics and analysis compensation related analytics, etc.).
  • Prepare reports, conduct analysis, and make recommendations as appropriate to aid business leaders in strategic business planning and decisionmaking.
  • Lead or participate in HR related systems revisions or upgrade initiatives (e.g. SAP, Success Factors, Compensation Planner).
  • Manage and update the Benefits Dashboard and Employee Demographics Dashboard for Canada.

HR Service Delivery:


  • Serve is the first point of contact for employee queries via the HR4You team and support knowledge transfer and knowledge management in driving employee experience with an outlook to establish an excellent selfservice model.
  • Administer services, streamline service delivery and processes through an improvement lens and transition them to service delivery team.
  • Participate in projects to transition administrative or service delivery tasks to service delivery teams. Prepare adequate documentation, conduct training, prepare communications for effective change management.

What We Look for in You:


  • University degree or diploma in Human Resources Management with 2-3 years of progressive responsibility as a human resources specialist/operations specialist with experience in data analysis, project management/coordination and experience in managing vendors. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in, or business knowledge of the chemical or related industries an asset. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Human Resources related legislation, practices, and precedents.
  • Proven critical thinking skills including welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. A selfstarter with initiative and results orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills (influencing, negotiating, motivating) to work effectively with internal and external business partners.
