Why is this role important?

What you'll do

  • Conduct analytical adjacent work such as internet scraping, packaging data/analysis, and knowledge mobilization/translation
  • Support engagements with external clients to understand their policy/data priorities and challenges.
  • Share knowledge with internal clients to identify relevant resources and to enhance uptake of CIHI products/services and advance initiatives such as transition to a new long term care assessment
  • Conduct literature reviews, environmental scans, factchecking and other information gathering activities as needed to develop a strong understanding of stakeholder needs and interests, and to identify opportunities to provide data, information, and appropriate supports.
  • Develop knowledge of CIHI's data holdings, related data from other organizations, and tools/best practices used to access these data holdings and related analysis.
  • Assume responsibility for other related duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the table

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in writing and synthesizing analysis and research, and the preparation of information products with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare interpret and effectively communicate and present technical approaches and analytical findings.
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset.
