Position purpose:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, International and Global Health Office (IGHO), The Lead Coordinator, Academic Program Management is responsible for the implementation of educational programs such as the Kuwait Mentoring Program (KMP) and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM) summer school.
The individual will liaise and collaborate with various departments at the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Ottawa to support programming and to increase awareness as well as to develop responsive services to support the integration and well-being of international learners and uOttawa faculty and learners participating in incoming and outgoing mobility activities.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Program Coordination: The incumbent ensures the collaborative planning, delivery, evaluation, and quality improvement of programs assigned to their responsibility, including the Kuwait Mentoring Program (KMP) and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (SJTUSM) summer school. Draft project plans by building critical paths and proposed budgets to ensure that programs are delivered on time and using a cost-recovery model. Seek input from local and international partners for the desired learning objectives, design of curriculum and operational activities. Collaborate with uOttawa personnel for the registration and creation of online accounts to access teaching materials.
Service Delivery: Collaborate with the Advisor, International Programs to identify needs, establish program objectives, and develop responsive services to support the integration and well-being of international learners and uOttawa faculty and learners participating in incoming and outgoing international education activities. Design and deliver on-site and remote orientation sessions on topics such as intercultural adaptation, country-specific information, University and Hospital policies, protocols and logistics of the learning program. Conduct research to identify the educational and resource material needed to support program participants.

Budgeting: Participate in the development of program budgets, monitoring expenditures, ensuring they are within budgetary constraints and are aligned with program contracts. This will involve liaising with different departments to determine key program costs.

Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting: Design quality assurance and evaluation tools of the educational programs by collecting documents and data on participant/teacher satisfaction for the purposes of improving the delivery of programs. The incumbent is responsible for the design of evaluations forms, compilation, and analysis of results, and providing recommendations for improvements as well as implementing changes for future cycles.

Liaising: Maintain relationships with partner institutions and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of program activities and effective communication. Collaborate with diverse Faculty of Medicine and uOttawa departments to coordinate program delivery, offer educational sessions and develop initiatives related to the integration and well-being of international learners and uOttawa faculty and learners participating in incoming and outgoing mobility activities

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Business Administration, or international relations or a combination of equivalent experience and studies.
