Team & Job Overview


In 2020, senior management presented to the Board of Directors an integrated digital strategy and transformation roadmap to meet the long-term corporate aspirations of EDC (Export Development Canada).

The strategy has been approved by the Board of Directors and has established meaningful change within EDC.

EDC now seeks a tenured leader to lead key functions within the technology platforms team


These functions are:

  • Robotic Process Automation working with a business lead center of excellence enabling citizen development platform.
  • Service Now Platform Owner where SN is used for ITSM (Information Technology Service Management) and as a business enabler platform for other teams like Customer Care.
  • DevSecOps a growing set of tools providing security scanning, agile boards, and other agile tooling.
  • Integration providing key business connectivity and enabling workflow across all lines of business at EDC.


Reporting to the Vice-President Technology Operations & Services (TOS), you will be part of a dynamic leadership team that is focused on enabling impactful employee experiences at EDC.

You will be an integral part of the overall Technology Leadership Team, a champion of everything that your team does and a servant leader to your team.

You are passionate about delivery and strive to build amazing, resilient teams by empowering and bolstering your teams to do the best work of their careers.


Strong partnership with teams in traditional Information Technology and lines of business will be imperative as you will play a key role in building the platform that they will leverage.

You will primarily focus on the development community within EDC building the technology platforms that enable them to assemble solutions on those platforms to deliver on the digital strategy mandate.

You will also need to have a clear understanding of the needs of business leaders that want to adopt citizen development tools to accelerate digital delivery or eliminate repetitive tasks.

As the leader you advocate for the customers, partners, and end users, embracing that you will be responsible for understanding and serving our customers' needs and experiences from end-to-end.


As Director and Family Product Owner (FPO), Digital Business Platforms, you will be accountable for building and evolving tools and systems that support a platform team focused on quality, performance, and enablement.

You will have leveraged team OKRs (Objective Key Results), linking them to the overall corporate goals helping your team link the value that they bring directly to the business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • First & foremost, a member of the TOS Leadership team you contribute to the overall reputation of the group by providing thoughtful input & meaningful direction to strategies, decisions, TOS wide problem solving and driving the outcomes that EDC is expecting from the TOS team.
  • Own defined set of business OKRs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your team
  • Champion change across TOS by driving leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability for employee experience with technology across EDC.
  • Our leaders in TOS help to set the ethical, organizational and performance standard for the teams they lead and exemplify how an effective performance and development culture functions day to day.
  • A TOS leader is expected to guide their team, collaborating as appropriate with EDC partners, to deliver superior results in both the short and longterm.
  • Work with other leaders in security, audit to ensure TOS remains in compliance with standards that are applicable to their area of accountability.
