CAD/Microvellum Technician.

Job Overview

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the CAD/Microvellum Technician will work as part of a small team with other technicians and engineers, with each member being assigned a separate area of a project.

The CAD technician will work with architects and design engineers to understand the requirements of their initial designs and turn them into accurate and detailed technical drawings.

Responsibilities and Duties

Converting Architectural designs to shop drawings
Preparing libraries and standards in Microvellum
Making changes to drawings during production
Staying up to date with new Auto-CAD and other relevant software and trends
Ability to breakdown complicated millwork items into buildable pieces
Create efficient CNC Nesting codes to optimize production and minimize waste
Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Competencies:

Experience with Microvellum and other industry drafting software, Cabinet

Vision and/or CAD.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Architectural Millwork Drawings
Experience in the woodworking industry
Attention to detail. Ability to meticulously review and accurately interpret design

specifications and drawings, ensuring precision and minimizing errors and rework
