Position Summary:


The Warehouse Attendant will be accountable to the Lead Warehouse supporting the Pick/Ship/Receive materials to and from the NWR Refinery site.

Provide support to Tool Crib as required. Assist in locating of materials at satellite warehouses when required by trades or operations. Perform cycle counts and various organizational projects as required.


Responsibilities:

Receive all materials arriving at warehouse(s)

  • Provide escort for deliveries as required
  • Check delivery against BOL to ensure match, sign copy for driver;
  • Deliveries into receiving MRR log;
  • Prioritize receipt of hot shot deliveries;
  • Check material against pack slip;
  • Process receipt of goods into CMMS (Maximo);
  • Identify, label and place materials onto work order shelving or into Warehouse bins as per receipt, record in work order files or assign bin in Maximo, if required (includes assignment of bin in satellite warehouses);
  • Scan and attach in Maximo all pack slips and BOL's from receipts;
  • Scan and attach all material issues to the appropriate receipt in Maximo;
  • File the paperwork from receipts by MRR number;
  • File the paperwork from material issues by current week;
  • Receiving KPI 72 hours to complete receipt from time delivery arrived at dock.
Receive Chemical

  • Verify SDS;
  • Wear appropriate PPE;
  • Update chemical inventory spreadsheet;
  • Physical receipt of chemical is a twoperson function (spotter required);
  • Ensure measures are taken to ensure adequate ventilation when in Chemical storage.
***Receive Compressed gas

  • Verify SDS;
  • Mark cylinders with stock ID;
  • Notify Praxair for pickup of empty cylinders.
Receive PRV's

  • Provide copy of report via PRV file located in warehouse office;
Ship materials from warehouse

  • Accept materials from field to be shipped.
  • Ensure Request to Ship Form filled out;
  • Ensure RGA for material not being returned to site;
  • Ensure SDS provided for material which was in service or is a sample;
  • Ensure travel sheet provided for PRV;
  • Ensure material is secured for shipping;
  • Determine level of service (regular/hot shot/International);
  • Verify materials to be shipped against request;
  • Arranges for the appropriate carrier;
  • Provides all required documentation (TDG, SDS, RGA, International shipping documents) as well as BOL and Material Gate Pass MGP;
  • Updates the shipping log for repair items

Issue material from warehouse.

  • Responsible for issuing work orders from the storage shelves.
  • Obtain signature and date of issue;
  • Perform issue transaction in Maximo when applicable;
  • File in designated cabinet.
  • Responsible for processing daily picks and staging the material in designated area.
  • Perform staging transaction In Maximo when applicable;
  • File picks by work order in the designated cabinet.
  • Issue items directly from Maximo when requested.
  • Obtain work order number;
  • Scan user QR;
  • Scan requested item;
  • Issue in Maximo.
  • Responsible for the issue of Chemical from W2 and Compressed gas.
  • Chemical update spreadsheet;
  • Chemical issue from Maximo;
  • Compressed gas issue from Maximo.
Administrative

  • Monitor warehouse phone;
  • Ensures proper filing of all receipts, issues, logs etc.;
  • Researches and responds to A/P Outstanding invoices report;
  • Has knowledge of Warehouse Attendant/Tool Crib Attendant roles and responsibilities.
Safety

  • Wears proper PPE at all times:
  • Ensures FLHA is filled out at beginning of shift;
  • Reports unsafe conditions immediately to lead or safety personnel;
  • Reports all incidents immediately and ensures the scene is frozen;
  • Ensures Daily fork lift checks completed.
Housekeeping

  • Keeps warehouse/receiving area clean and free of debris and hazards
  • Empty garbage as required;
  • Keep office area clean and organized;
  • Send extra pallets to W5 as required;
  • Dispose of garbage pallets as required.
  • Operates MHE SDCB/SUCB forklift.
Other

  • Operates NWR owned warehouse assigned vehicles.
  • Keeps truck clean;
  • Fuel as required;
  • Performs monthly inspection;.

Requirements:


  • Understands, creates and maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to NWR's Core Competencies to drive results and culture;
  • Grade 12 Diploma;
  • Minimum 5 years shipping/receiving experience;
  • CMMS experience (Maximo/SAP/JDE, or equivalent);
  • MS Office Intermediate skills (outlook, word, excel);
  • TDG/TDG 7;
  • Emergency First Aid Level C with AED;
  • WHMIS/GHS;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to work alone or with others;
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.;
  • Materials/Parts Technician Journeyman considered an asset;
  • Industrial oil & gas preferred;
  • Lift truck experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. kneeling, bending and standing for long periods. Walking on rough terrain uneven surfaces;
