Description

As recipients of the Canadian Cancer Society 2023 Breakthrough Team Grant, the Canadian Cholangiocarcinoma Collaborative (C3) was formed to increase hope in patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma.

The C3 plans to do this by enhancing access to clinical trials and personalized treatments, while simultaneously building a high-quality immunotherapy pipeline for therapeutic discovery.

We will establish clinical and manufacturing infrastructure to provide access to tumour infiltrating lymphocytes (TIL) immunotherapy for Canadian's diagnosed with Biliary Tract Cancer (BTC).

Comprehensive research will be integrated into clinical care at the earliest time possible in a patient's cancer treatment. In collaboration with hospitals, universities, and institutes across Canada, the C3 is comprised of patients, caregivers, oncologists, and researchers.

We are recruiting for a "Research Coordinator" who will be central to the success of our mission of increasing hope and access to clinical research, including TIL immunotherapy for patients with cholangiocarcinoma.

The duties are broad and comprehensive, but also uniquely individualized for each patient.

  • Coordinate and facilitate case presentations at monthly National Multidisciplinary Rounds on behalf of treating physicians or BTC patients in the ICPR and newly diagnosed BTC patients
  • Coordinate the transfer of patient samples from participating sites to the central Biorepository in Montreal
  • Organize and lead informational sessions on clinical trials for the purpose of patient and caregiver education
