Position Summary

Duties
The KITE Research Institute is looking for an administrative assistant who will assist with general operations. This position will require the individual to be on site full-time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting & assisting visitors
  • Ensuring Innovations Gallery screens & kiosks are up and running
  • Answering phones and redirecting calls to appropriate personnel
  • Ensuring efficient office operations (e.g., requisitions office supplies; maintenance of office equipment)
  • Preparing and editing routine correspondence and documents using existing templates. Entering information into spreadsheets/databases from readily available sources
  • Coordinating department meetings by booking the room, organizing materials for participants in advance, taking minutes and following up on action items
  • Coordinating events including marketing, registration, catering, technology and speakers
  • Submitting facility requests & assisting with room bookings
  • Creating & editing Powerpoint presentations
  • Other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Able to work with mínimal supervision in a selfdirected manner
  • Ability to work in a Microsoft Office environment(Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Teams).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
