Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller that has 6+ years in a Canadian environment to join our team.

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all financial operations of our organization and ensuring that all financial transactions are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


What you will do


In this role, you will work with Finance and Operations to provide accurate, concise, and effective financial transaction recording and reports.

You will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis and participate in value-added decision support.

  • Direct internal controls, audit visits, forecasts, financial reporting, treasury, financial statements taxes, and budgetary controls.
  • Develop and manage compensation and payroll programs in a coordinated manner.
  • Manage financial statements, and full cycle reporting for multiple entities, special analyses, and information reports.
  • Support all departments internally, including processing revenue, expenditure, department budgets, salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to relevant business segment managers.
  • Budgeting, tax planning, and experience with the conservation of assets.
  • Coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
  • Yearly review of insurance and benefits coverage.
  • Manage cash flow, cost controls, and expenses, and assist the management team.
  • Review financial statements report on both positive and negative variances to the annual forecast.
  • Establish yearly objectives and work with the team for IT systems support.
  • Coordinate monthly strategic/operational meetings.
  • Examining accounting records.

Your experience and educational background:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 6+ years of experience in financial management and accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
