Who we are looking for:

Triple Eight Transport Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Accountant.

Objectives of this role

  • Keep accurate records of company finances.
  • Process intercompany billings and reconcile intercompany accounts monthly.
  • Prepare monthly Payment packages, including supporting documentation and schedules for payment.
  • Monitor financial health and compliance.
  • Take note of and report discrepancies in financial records.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with purchases and refunds.
  • Minimize and quickly correct errors.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
  • Assist in A/R and A/P Functions
  • Code and enter invoices, ensuring accuracy along with collection of approvals and matching supporting documents
  • Billing invoices to customers
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Record daily company transactions.
  • Maintain timely communications with clients.
  • Fill out tax forms and work with accountants to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports.
  • Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors.
  • Other duties as required.
  • A diploma or degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Accounting experience in construction industry is an asset.
  • A minimum of 13 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to multitask, problem solve, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and regulations preferred.
  • High degree of personal organization, including scheduling and prioritizing work tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and recordkeeping skills.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and strong understanding of math and numbers.
  • Proficient in bookkeeping software, experience in Great Plains Software is an asset.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, Able to identify problems and implement workable solutions.
  • Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
