Position Description:
***This position is responsible for performing secretarial and clerical duties as required at the reception area of the Firestone Ambulatory Clinic and all associated clinics within Firestone Program
Duties include:
reception and registration of patients, answering telephones, calling patients to confirm appointments, relaying messages, booking patients for various tests and doctor visits, typing of lab reports and correspondence, transcription, filing, chart preparation, and other related clerical duties as assigned by Ambulatory Clinic Supervisor and/or Manager.
Supporting all clinics of the Firestone Ambulatory Clinic.QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 year postsecondary diploma in medical office administration from an accredited school is required
- Medical terminology certificate required
- Basic skill level in MS Word required
- Basic skill level in medical spelling and medical terminology required
- Intermediate skill level in typing speed and spelling required
- Knowledge about Firestone Clinic and activity is an asset
- Two years of current related office experience or customer service experience is required
- Experience in medical transcription required
- Current experience with Dovetale Prelude and Cadence (EPIC) and booking diagnostic tests using all hospital electronic solutions is required
- Excellent work performance and attendance record is essential
- Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships while handling multiple tasks, conflicting priorities and frequent interruptions
- Must be able to set own priorities, ensuring patient and customer service is of utmost importance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational and problemsolving skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
HOURS OF WORK
Monday to Friday; days, afternoons
WAGE RATE
Hourly:
$ $ $27.13 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
