Job Title:
RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER**
Program: COMMUNITY LIVING RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS - Gilley
Classification:
STANDARD GRID LEVEL 10
Rate of Pay:
$27.29 per hour and increments in accordance with the terms of the Collective
**Agreement
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide direct support, care and instruction for persons served; Participate and assist team members in the on
- going operation and development of the program; Promote home and community participation, integration and
involvement; Implement individual planning and maximize growth and development for each resident.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum certificate in human/social service field and one year experience working with people with a
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a group or 1:1 setting; strong community living
- Demonstrated strong knowledge/training in behaviour approach and experience working with individuals
- Good interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of clients and teams
- Willingness and interest in participating and supporting residents in home and community activities based
- Prior Knowledge and training in use of mechanical lifts and ability to perform lifts and transfers up to 40lbs
- Responsiveness and sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work in cooperation with families and external support services
- Valid First Aid/CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and FOODSAFE certification; Mandt System Training

Class 4 BC restricted Driver's License
- Working knowledge of Windows operating system and MS Word; familiarity with an electronic case
HOURS OF WORK:
This is a
Regular Part-time position, working
30 hrs/week Saturday - Wednesday
(4:00 - 10:00 p.m.). Start and finish times may vary and flexibility with hours of work may be required to meet client
and program needs.
