Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
  • Assist in the training and motivation of staff
- assist with closing of store

  • Delegate and prioritize workload for staff
  • Effectively merchandise advertising and promotional programs
  • Receiving, handling and storing of product to achieve optimal results
  • Sales/Inventory planning and ordering product accordingly
  • Ensure proper product rotation as required
  • Ensure pricing integrity
  • Act as a backup to the store owner when required
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure courteous friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets and maintains the hygiene standards specified.

Requirements:


  • Demonstrated understanding of a full time and part time clerks impact on store performance in the following ways
- merchandising to appropriate independent standards
- maintaining and ordering proper inventories
- maintaining cleanliness to appropriate standards
- able to manage heavy lifting

  • Available to work nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer focus
  • Ability to manage and supervise people
  • Ability to work with mínimal functional direction
  • Solid Knowledge of all aspect of grocer area, operations and products.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and store systems
  • Demonstrated accountability for store in the absence of the store owner
  • Key carrying/ alarm responsibilities, loss prevention, health & safety
