RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.
  • Serve as the inhouse expert on all server matters and help mentor/develop Network Administrator I
  • Servers.
  • Develop strategies for client/server implementations; architect the infrastructure required to support those strategies.
  • Assist in designing and implementing data center/server room security features, including HVAC control, environmental alarms, access restrictions, and so on.
  • Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmer and development teams.
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Monitor and test system performances; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Demonstrates QCH values: collaboration, accountability, innovation and respect.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • University degree in the field of computer science and 4 years equivalent work or college diploma and 6 years equivalent work experience or 15 years equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Certification.
  • VMware Certification.
  • Experience mentoring colleagues and facilitating tasks.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practice.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least 3 of the following: Windows 2016/2019/2022, Exchange, MS SQL, IIS, VMware, Hyper-V, Dell EMC storage solutions.
  • Exceptional abilities at load balancing, clustering, and caching procedures and processes.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology.
  • Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
  • In depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and operating system configuration.
  • Working knowledge of scripting code and scripting tools.
  • Working knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory/Global Catalogue.
  • Proven knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies.
  • Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, able to work in a teamorientated, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and userfriendly language.
  • Knowledge of clinical systems and experience within the hospital environment.
  • Highly selfmotivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, able to prioritize and execute tasks in a highpressure environment.
  • Ability to shift hours of work to accommodate operational or project needs.
  • Willingness to assist with other IT teams and tasks.
