What you'll do:

The Operations Manager is a critical and dynamic role within our team. As the Ops Manager you already possess strong communication and leadership qualities.

As a team leader you will have the opportunity to establish and maintain a strong company culture built on teamwork, respect and personal accountability.

You will be responsible for directing the day to day operational needs of our business.

As you become experienced with Amazon's world class delivery methods, technologies and metrics, you will ensure best practices and standard work are followed.

As part of your role as Operational Manager you will have the ability to engage, motivate, educate and inspire our team of Delivery Associates and Dispatchers.

Dispatch Duties:

The ability to work in a fast paced environment while staying organized and composed

Multi-task daily as you organize and supervise a large fleet of Delivery Associates

Assign routes and vehicles to Delivery Associates

Track vehicle and Delivery Associate progress for safety and quality of Standard Work.

Perform Wellness Check on all on road staff.

Provide feedback, direction or instruction daily to new and tenured Delivery Associates

Record data and provide written reports throughout the day to management and Amazon Operational Staff as required multiple times per day.

Assist in loading vehicles as required. Assist in emergency route rescues when needed which may result in the Dispatcher taking part of a route and delivering packages if required

Engaging in ongoing communication with team members and all Amazon staff in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Submit critical incident reports, WCB reports or other documentation as required.

Data collection and entry through a variety of company based software programs as required.

What you'll need:

Eligible to work in Canada

Valid Full Class 5 BC Drivers License or above (Commercial license NOT required)

Must be at least 21 years old

Fluent in English

Delivery driving experience 1+ years is an asset (Amazon DSP experience a significant asset)

Customer service experience 1+ years

Have management experience is an asset

Strong comfort in driving, experience driving larger vehicles an asset but not required.

Strong communication skills in both written and verbal interactions. High level of emotional intelligence.

Ability to be directive when needed but understands the importance of appropriate humor and engagement.

Ability to multitask

Eagerness to learn new software and deep dive data. Comfort with technology is an asset.

Experience with spreadsheets, Google Sheets and Excel an asset.

A strong understanding and appreciation for safety

A strong understanding of professionalism and confidentiality.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
