Position Summary

Qualifications

Diploma of
Educational Assistant with Special Education training
Two years working in Special Education preferred
Experience and/or qualifications in working with children with hearing impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a range of neurodiversities
British Columbia Teachers' certification is an asset
Independent School experience is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Knowledge of British Columbia Curriculum and pedagogy
Knowledge of the current research on girls and learning, developing critical 21stcentury global capacities
Demonstrated experience as an enthusiastic and caring educator. A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in all its many dimensions
Collaborative and flexible, supportive, and effective teamplayer
Ability to develop strong professional relationships with all stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
Demonstrated commitment to educating the whole student
Demonstrated ability to integrate technology purposefully to transform learning
Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and assessment practices to meet the needs of individual learners
Experience using an inquirybased and projectbased learning approach
Committed to continuous professional growth and improvement
