JOB SUMMARY:


The Horizontal Directional Driller reports to a Director of Operations to assist in the installation of electrical and underground utilities through the use and maintenance of a Horizontal Directional Drill.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Working
    6 days a week, hours a day
:


  • Maintenance and operation of the directional drill.
  • Locating for the Directional Drill.
  • Install shallow utilities cable.
  • Digging and backfilling trenches.
  • Operating small equipment and hand tools.
  • Spotting for vehicles and equipment.
  • Site setup and cleanup.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Firm understanding of
    underground locates.
-
Mechanically inclined.

  • Class
    3 driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Able to lift
    75lbs.
  • Experience working with shallow utility installation is an asset.
  • Outdoor construction experience.
  • Willing to learn.
