Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator

Permanent Full Time (35 Hours/Week)

REPORTS TO:
Director, Communications and Strategic Partnerships

***: This position will contribute to the growth and sustainability of the agency by supporting outreach and engagement with stakeholders and through revenue generation.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide content and editing support for internal and external newsletters, annual report, donor stewardship and other stories for print and digital channels.
  • Conduct interviews with staff, youth, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders for content creation opportunities.
  • Support Macaulay's branding strategy across the organization.
  • Support brand quality control by ensuring all organizational communications and marketing pieces align with brand style, messaging and usage guidelines
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new branded templates for social media and other collateral.
  • Create and maintain guidelines and support training for staff and volunteers on the use of graphic identity.
  • Maintain all aspects of Macaulay social media channels
  • Create basic graphics for social media channels, based on brand guidelines, using Canva and other graphic design templates
  • Monitor, analyse and compile reports on social media data.
  • Researches funding prospects, creates prospect file and keeps an eye on grant and funding trends
  • Works with the Director and across departments to develop proposals and reports, and manage the submission and agreement processes
  • Manages the grant proposal and reporting calendars, tracks activities in centralized database.
  • Works closely with the Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships to ensure recognition requirements of grants are fulfilled on time.
  • Organize fundraising and community events for the purpose of raising funds and awareness.
  • Foster and strengthen partnerships between key stakeholders including funders and community partners
  • Engage in promotion, outreach, evaluation and followup for these events.
  • Ensures accurate donor information and reporting of data is maintained in centralized database.
  • Ensures recognition and stewardship of donors
  • Works collaboratively across departments to support fundraising and outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee and implement website updates, and ensure compliance with WGAC 2.0 AA.
  • Update website content and conduct regular maintenance checks to the website, including links, buttons and updates to Plugins
  • Support the launch of a new website led by the Director
  • Maintain contact information and records in centralized database.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 12 years experience in a communications role and/or relationshipbuilding environment with key stakeholders including external and internal
  • Degree or diploma in communications, publicrelations, marketing, or journalism an asset
  • Knowledge of fundraising processes, best practices and current industry trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and coordinate events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic experience in graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, etc).
  • Knowledge and/or experience in website design and/or maintenance
  • Initiative and creativity to develop innovative solutions to challenges and problems
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective work partnerships with colleagues of diverse

  • Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check

SALARY:

Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator Salary Scale ( starting at $29.38/hour/ $53,467-$61,688) with Competitive Benefits Package (health & dental), Defined Pension Plan and paid time off entitlements (starting at 20 vacation days & 3 float days).
