JOB SUMMARY:


The Gas Fuser Helper reports to Gas Foreman to safely and accurately install, repair, test and perform tasks related to construction and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Working 6 days a week, hours a day.
  • Assist in fusion and installation of gas pipe in underground subdivisions.
  • Assist with four party underground utility installations.
  • Spotting for vehicles and equipment.
  • Site setup and cleanup.
  • Operate equipment and tools, as needed.
  • Other duties and labour tasks, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Class 5 Driver's License and Reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs.
  • Outdoor construction experience.
  • Experience with fusing gas pipe.
  • Willing to learn gas fusing techniques.
  • Valid gas fusing ticket considered an asset.
  • Four party underground utility or telecommunication experience is an asset.
