Job Summary:
What you'll being doing:
- Responsible for the development and modification of content, with a focus on identifying and analyzing regulatory and legislative changes and describing their impact on credit union products and operations
- Conducting industry research and staying current on best practices, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Identifying and recommending opportunities to improve and streamline program content and departmental processes
- Working with internal and external legal counsel, team members and other stakeholders to ensure content is accurate and compliant with applicable law and governing regulatory bodies
- Balancing the need for risk management against usability and member experience
- Taking ownership for agreed upon deliverables within time, cost and scope
- Working with the Manager and other team members to ensure product releases are achieved according to agree upon and identified timelines
- Engaging with other departments and participating on internal committees and working groups to mitigate risk for the credit union system and Central
- Completing all assigned tasks and updating of all necessary tracking related to time spent, budget and deliverables for content projects
- Performing member call backs as required for inquiry escalations
- Completing other projects, as assigned
What you'll have:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related field 5+ years experience in a regulatory compliance and financial services role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of financial institutions, core products and services, and operations
- Prior experience drafting policies and procedures at a financial institution is desirable
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing legislation, regulations and/or case law precedents that pertain to financial institutions
- Strong understanding of financial institutions, core products and services, and operations
- Experience capturing and documenting complex regulatory requirements and resulting operational impacts
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment in face to face and nonface to face interactions
- Experience with project management and time tracking software
- Experience using Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
- Prior experience drafting policies and procedures at a financial institution is desirable
- Resultsdriven achiever with exemplary planning, organizational, and timemanagement skills.
- Strong analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for researching, identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and simplifying complex processes.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments with limited direct supervision and guidance
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to exert influence within the team and across the organization
- Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
- Adaptable technical writing skills with the ability to communicate across multiple audience types
- Relevant professional certifications (CAMS, CFE, CRM) would be an asset, but are not required
